It’s summertime and we need your help!
Not only are the summer months difficult for families who rely on school meals, but they’re also the most challenging months for recruiting volunteers.
Summer is extra important for checking the Little Free Food Pantries because we REMOVE all canned goods when the temperatures rise to ensure shelf stability.
We have a LOT of Little Free Food Pantry slots to fill, and we would love your help if you have time to spare mid-week or on the weekend!
These are flexible sign ups — swing by at your convenience. We are happy to give you a box of non-perishable food to pick up in Alexandria and take directly to the pantries.
If you have students who need service hours, this is a great way to achieve those while helping our neighbors. Similarly, if you're a college student home for the summer break and are willing to help, we would also welcome your assistance!
