Safe + Simple Ways You Can Help

Whether it's making sandwiches from your home or adding non-perishables to the Little Free Food Pantry outside, out goal is always to provide volunteers with safe and simple ways to help feed your neighbors across the DC region.

This summer, there are three safe and simple ways you can help feed your neighbors
  1. The Little Free Food Pantry locations across the DMV are emptying faster than ever. Please omit peanut butter for the time being due to the CDC's Jif recall. Please also omit canned goods when the temperature is predicted above 90 degrees. Good options include rice, pasta, oatmeal, and mac & cheese. Check out our list of what to look for when you visit!

  2. We're collecting Summer Care Packages for local schools and community centers while students are on break. Each bag will contain shelf-stable foods like rice, beans, and breakfast.

  3. As always, we have our weekly sandwich deliveries for the homeless almost every weekend this summer. At this time, Martha's Table is not accepting PB&J due to the CDC's Jif peanut butter recall. Meat + cheese only!
